(Or the Why, What, and How of (My) Blogging)
It sounds like an easy thing, the
blogging. Simply open the page… and write something. Anything you want.
Well, no.
It doesn’t work quite so easily. I’m
sure every person has something to tell the world, but sometimes, it is so hard
to realise what that something is. Sometimes, nothing seems like a thing worth
hearing. Or maybe it just seems boring. Or you’re allowed to write about a too
wide range of topics. Whatever the case, you need to get used to writing, used to the fact you can (and should, in this
case) put things down. It’s a process, I think, and it takes some time, some
reading, and some writing to get the feeling what goes on a blog and what
doesn’t, what goes on which blog, and
so on.
This automatically means that no,
you can’t always write about anything.
Me—I have tumblr for all the fandom-related ranting. This is just… for everything
else. Thing that don’t belong to tumblr because they are tidbits of everyday
life rather than thoughts revolving around certain topics.
I don’t think there’s ever a real
answer to the ‘why’. Because. It’s
always just because. There are things in my head, and then I take them out. It
might keep my brain from exploding, I don’t know.
Also, let’s not even get me started
on how I get these things written because it’s messy. So very messy. I’d like
to say no circus animals ever get harmed in the creation of the posts… but it
might be a lie (speaking of lies, I do so want to rant about that, too.
Sometime in the future).
Good. Since I’ve successfully
rambled for half a page now without telling anything of importance, how about
something about me? Yes, that means more rambling. No, I don’t feel like
explaining things on the list.
